Mechanism idea for an aircraft stowage compartment

Basic kinematics example for a hinge system.

Here, the opening process of a kinematic system for an aircraft stowage compartment is animated with the help of the kinematics software ASOMv7 and optimized with regards to manual operation or rather the necessary manual forces. Note: This is only a basic illustration, not a finished solution.

The stowage compartment and the corresponding lid are modeled. The corresponding multi-bar kinematics (here a six-bar system) and the associated force scenario with masses, friction, forces and actuating forces are shown.

The end positions of the motion are fixed with the aid of our interactive kinematic synthesis, so that the user can freely set or move the bearing points.
