Ellipsograph using the trammel method (Trammel of Archimedes).

The ellipsograph consists of two perpendicularly mounted floating bearings, which are connected by a coupler, as well as a coupler point. Visualized in this example are the trajectories of the coupler point and the floating bearings, the osculating circle and the evolute of the coupler point, as well as the instantaneous center of rotation (including the fixed and moving centrodes) of the coupler.
